PM of Israel Binyamin Netanyahu: Defeat the oppression! His aides continue to be tortured
In a surprising slip of the tongue PM of Israel Binyamin Netanyahu says to defeat oppression (לנצח את החמס) when expected to say to defeat Hamas only (לנצח את חמאס). What he could mean?
Ḥamas in hebrew means oppression, wickedness, is also frequently translated as violence or evil, phonetically the word is virtually undistinguishable from Ḥamas, the terrorist organization, except for definite article, which is used more with common nouns (but can be occasionally used with names as well).
The thing is that in the speech of Netanyahu the definite article was not needed if he spoke about Hamas only, but expected when speaking about known oppression.
וַתִּשָּׁחֵ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ לִפְנֵ֣י הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים וַתִּמָּלֵ֥א הָאָ֖רֶץ חָמָֽס׃
The land got corrupt in front of God’s face, and the earth got filled with oppression.
What oppression could Netanyahu possibly mean?
It is common knowledge by now, Netanyahu’s aides have been tortured by aide’s of Shabak leader Ronen Bar, who decided to keep his powers illegally with help of Israeli prosecution and Israeli Supreme Court, whose powers in Israel are virtually omnipotent.
These are the same people, who used their powers to enforce jab mandates in Israel and who also released many Hamas combatants illegally from prison back to Ghazza.
Hamas cannot be defeated while it is backed by the oppression of Israeli judiciary, prosecution and secret service, who have the audacity to intercept anyone legally or otherwise and to torture anybody legally or otherwise.
When Netanyahu says to defeat the oppression, it could finally mean, that he has finally decided to stop the torture of his aides, which frankly keeps Hamas in power.
